On this week’s closer look, we’ve got a dope jacket courtesy of the guys over at Alpha Industries. The Vandy MA-1 Flight Jacket is a patched-up bomber done in collaboration with the Warrior Flight Team and Playboy Enterprises. All proceeds from the jackets sales benefits the work of the Warrior Flight Team, who helps wounded veterans with scholarships, job training and placement. The team also performs at air shows and does flyovers for fallen soldiers’ funerals.
The Vandy MA-1 takes Alpha Industries’ Slim-Fit MA-1 Flight Jacket and turns it into a limited-edition piece with the addition of patches paying tribute to the U.S. Navy’s Air Test and Evaluation Squadrons (VX-4, VX-5 and VX-9). The squadrons had a bunny mascot painted on the tails of their F-4 Phantom II jets and when Playboy Enterprises saw this they offered up the use of their official Bunny logo. The Warrior Flight Team flies L-39 jets called the Vandy-1 that have the same Playboy Bunny Logo in honor of the Navy squadrons. The jacket is available now for $225 USD over at Alpha Industries.
